Matthew Wolf Wins On the P.G.A Tour

By Darren

A few years ago I had an idea for a teaching aid so I went to patent it, and guess what in 1912 somebody had already had the idea and yes patent it.

This taught me a lesson about golf though in that most things new or different have probably been done before.

Sure technology will help and has helped us understand the physics of ball flight and golf club technology way better and I am all for that, most other parts of the swing and game though have been around the block a few times.

So in looking at Matthew Wolf's swing in the image left you can see how it resembles Miller Barber from decades ago, and I sure there would be more, the real thing setting him apart or different if you like is his pre-swing waggle.

I really like it though as it gets him in a reactive mode to the target, I see weekly golfer's taking way to long between their last look at the target and actually pulling the trigger. It reminds me a lot of baseball batters, and makes me wonder whether or not Matthew Wolf played a lot of baseball as a kid as I did.
