The Travelling Golf Circus Moves To Coolum Resort

By Darren

With the P.G.A Tour of Australasia moving onto Coolum Resort this week for 2012's last event the P.G.A Championship it should lend itself to another exciting week of golf.

In this, its 13th consecutive year in Queensland, the Australian PGA Championship presented by Coca-Cola has established a home for itself in the sunshine state and continues to be a pinnacle event on the state’s dynamic events calendar.

Peter Senior is a 3 time winner of this event and coming off his Australian Open win will be very hard to beat with form on the board.

Greg Norman will return from the USA to play in his parents backyard at coolum and for one of the last times in his career. This will definitely motivate him to do well and with the old guy's winning he may even believe it is possible at age 56.

“Queensland is home to some wonderful golf courses, and it’s always great to get back to Coolum and catch up with friends and family. It should be another great tournament,” Norman said.

2011 Open Champion Darren Clarke will also return,

“Last year’s Australian PGA was a lot of fun,” Clarke said this week.

“The people and crowds were great last year and it was a really enjoyable week. Australia has always hosted great tournaments and I’m looking forward to coming down again.”

Also Rory Sabbatin the South African will make his second trip to Australia, Sabbatini last playing the Australian PGA Championship in 2007.
