Do You Pull The Handle Into Impact?

By Darren

In this blog I am going to talk about the downswing into impact and the thoughts you should have about the so called release of the club head.

The impact position is the most important in the swing howver finding it correctly is usually complicated when a player has the incorrect concept of pulling the handle.

Pulling the handle at the ball when you think about it really makes no sense. Think about a hammering for a minute or somebody putting up a big circus tent with a sledge hammer.

When nailing the stakes into the ground the hammer is swung from the handle yet pushing the head at the stake. The same should happen in your golf swing.

Whilst you swing the handle you are pushing the head out wide and into the back of the ball.

Pulling the handle will create too narrow a downsing and lead to the golf ball curving.
